When you take a trip up to the canon fort, you can walk it, but I would advice hiring a scooter (80,000d ~ roughly £2.50). It is up hill the whole way, and probably around a 30/40 minute walk. The trip up there is nice,...More

I reached the top by walk from Cat Ba town. Easy walk even that it is all uphill, but very worth! Views from top are just incredible, worth the 40k vnd ticket

Went on a cloudy morning though the views were still amazing. Particularly from the Northern Lookout point. A great walk from the bottom part of the hill or maybe you could take the motorcycle of yours up or maybe you do not fancy a workout....More

You can track up the hill to the Canon Fort, 2.5km from the centre of Cat Ba town or you may rent a bike for 4USD. Best to reach here around 5pm, to enjoy the breath taking view of the sun set.
