We enjoyed visiting this lovely church because it has some interesting features. We especially liked the hourglass stand, complete with its hourglass, by the pulpit. Does the preacher still use it? We also enjoyed the wall painting, and the many memorials around the church.

A beautiful little church with a wall mural of St Christopher dated circa 1440. The church is right on the roundabout so parking is quite limited and you'll have to park along the main road.

St Peters's is a nice church in a tranquil village. Mostly, however, I am wondering why the Trip Advisor pictures all appear to be for Mottistone Manor!!!

Simon Jenkin's favourite island church in "the book" and we agree with him. Really pretty setting in a charming village and a text-book perfect church - St Christopher over the north door, rare mediaeval stone pulpit, Jacobean pews and many fine monuments (thanks to Shorwell's...More

I felt disorientated when I entered this church, as all the other churches I had visited recently were set out in the same traditional way. Here most of the pews in the centre of the church are facing north-south, and not towards the altar. And...More
