La Batalla de l'Ebre, in English the Ebre Battle was a very important moment in the Spanish Civil War and probably the moment, when Republicans began to lose the war. This fact was forgotten during too many years, but since 10years, there are some museums in the region (Terra Alta, in the South of Catalonia), where you can learn a lot about the war.
I visited two museums: 115 days (the period of the battle, where you can learn a lot about the history of the battle), Hospitals of Blood, where you can learn about the mobil hospitals during the battle and the curation or death of soldiers injured. Both small, but very interesting! In fact, these two museums are necessary to understand the past, the present and probably the future.
Also, I visited the Serra de Pàdols, an strategic position in the battle (the highest point), where you can see the wonderful views of surroundings and a monument to remember Republicans, who death here, and The Old town of Corbera (remains of a town destroyed by the fascist aviation in the war). Great places to not forget the past and built a better future!
