It's worth doing the pleasant stroll to the nature centre along groundevel boardwalk set on 15 foot high foundations to prevent them from sinking into the bog. There's a shop and cafe on the water's edge and water and shore power for boaters.

Lovely place to visit on a day trip in a hire boat. Lovely pub and nice spot for a picnic with free mooring. Cafe and shop also on the quay. It’s a popular place so mooringbis not always easy

No you can not hire boats at Ranworth. Nearest spot would be Oulton Broad or Acle bridge. Whispering Reed boats on Hickling Broad would be a good place to hire a sailing boat or Barton Turf Adventure Centre on Barton Broad.

Its about 25 minutes slow amble. Not too far at all and all either road or boardwalk. If you're feeling adventurous you could get the boat there and walk back.
