At the campsite only for one night to trek the chimpanzees first thing in the morning. Started off cool but quickly became humid and warm. Yes, wear long pants, socks over your pants against ants and other critters, bring water, binoculars, and be ready to...More

Great place to take a chimpanzee trek! It took about an hour and 1/2 on a relatively easy forest trail to find them.... but the hour spent with the chimpanzees after our guide found them was INCREDIBLE!

Kalinzu Forest is the perfect budget option for chimp trekking near Queen Elizabeth National Park. The charge is $40pp, which isn't exactly cheap, but the fact that you do not need to pay a park fee in addition to this charge is where you can...More

We tracked chimpanzees in Kalinzu Forest and were not disappointed. The forest is thick but relatively flat once you descend into it. The forest comes alive with the sounds of chimps and the excitement of watching them hunt and fight and play is incredible. Make...More
