En-route to Sani Pass, we spent some time at the Sky Restaurant enjoying the views and marvelling at a ski slope in Africa. Sky Restaurant is huge and well equipped to cater to a a fun apres-ski crowd. Of course, we had to try the Kaiserschmarrn (which is what you would have somewhere in the Alps). Staff nice and friendly... More

Stayed at Afriski Lesotho for one evening for the first time on business. Now that may sound strange why one would go up to 3,200m to a Ski lodge in Africa for a business stay, but there are now already four diamond mines at the top of Lesotho about 30-40km further from Afriski. Being an engineer I visit those mines... More

We visited Afriski and the highest restuarant in Afrika 3010m above sea level as day visitors. It is a beautiful resort in the mountains. It was a welcome relief to find a place with familiar comforts, good wine and brilliant service. The resort comprises of various types of accommodation from back packers to luxury. We had great fun watching the... More

We had the time of our lives. Coming from Guateng where we see snow once every 20 years, this is really a treat. First of all you need to get there first. Make sure your passport is valid to cross the Lesotho border. Then secondly put your brave face on to cross the mountains getting to the ski resort. We... More

We spent a lovely day driving up to the resort, enjoying the beautiful mountains and breathtaking scenery. Lesotho is truly African and a nice change of South Africa.

This was a day well spent, it was so fun for my partner and I and its perfect for families. The drive up to the mountain was breathtaking with gorgeous views. It's a beautiful experience and I can recommend it to anyone whether you ski or not. The facility is well managed, there's no need to buy ski equipment; it... More

Not just a Winter Wonderland... Beautiful spot in midSummer too. Breathtaking scenery of miles and miles of views. Very low temperatures outside despite December. Cosy and toasty indoors. Great Hospitality and Scrumptious Food. We ordered 5 different dinners and all shared a taste. Accommodation typical sky resort style, pokey yet comfortable and warm. -3°degrees in the morning we left 😨

We went to Afriski in the summer for a weekend getaway from Joburg. I never realised that it was even open in the sunny months, but we had a great time there. It was a particularly quiet weekend, but the staff were really helpful and friendly. One or two items weren't available on the menu at the restaurant but that... More

We visited during natural snow cover and Afriski looked spectacular. The resort is well run and organised and there is ample choice in terms of food and drink. The checkin process with the equipment hire and ski lessons was quick and efficient. Unfortunately soon after the start of the first round of ski lessons I started feeling sick from the... More
