When you have skied in the Alps where every village boasts at least 15 ski slopes, it will seem little poor to come to this place that just has 1 slope (I think blue, though green in the bottom)! But at the end of the...More

Ever thought of skiing in South Africa? My wife and I heard about Afriski Mountain Resort in Lesotho which is only 400km from Johannesburg, and decided to pay it a visit. Since we live in Pretoria where we have never had any snow, the idea...More

Afriski was a disappointment, but we had a mission to accomplish and accomplish it we did. That was for my boyfriend to learn to ski and see if we should do a European/American trip next time. First were the slow responses from the booking office...More

My friends and I went skiing at Afri-Ski in Lesotho during July and even though it was not snowing, the man made snow was still loads of fun. The staff and instructors were incredible, they helped us all the way as we were only beginners....More

The resort has improved and the skiing is great. Different types of accommodation is available, we stayed in a Lodge, shared with friends. Really good facilities, decor is good and the gas heaters kept us through the cold. Restaurant needs improvement, and a shop on-site...More

The directions provided on the website is poor. The booking staff were not very helpful/friendly, although most of the ground-level staff at the resort were friendly. We had a great skiing experience, but the accommodation (Tirol) was disappointing for what we paid (damp room, hot...More

Hi, I see on the website it states "Main Slope - OPEN 200m ". Would just like to confirm, is only the last 200m of the slope open? Is Afriski not making snow for the rest of the slope (at least up to 800m like July last year?) It surely is cold enough for it....

The main slope is only at 200m at the moment but the slope is being expanded but without natural snow fall it is taking longer than last year. Still we had a great time this last week.
