In the last decade, Afriski has really improved the skiing experience. Slopes are well groomed and the instructors are first rate. Ski rental has also improved. definitely a visit.

Our employer took us there on an incentive trip. I am an experienced skier, but the last time I skied was 20 years ago in Austria. We stayed for 4 days and enjoyed it very much. I stayed in the chalet Vail. The first day we had n thot water, it was fixed the next day. The main ski piste is 700m longer, and allows for good skiing.

Amazing venue, top quality skiing and park skiing, adequate food options. Whistler camp was suffering electricity outages making the stay up there difficult.

We had our annual Afriski pilgrimage again in August and were blessed with snow in abundance. The Afriski staff were professional, responsible, friendly and caring as always and made the general areas and slopes accessible to the guests despite the heavy snow fall. The restaurant is lovely and the atmosphere at Afriski was fairy-like after dark.

I visit the European slopes on a regular basis and still return to Afriski every winter season. What is wrong with enjoying winter every 6 months! It is the perfect setting to enjoy a unique ski resort experience right here in Africa. The highlight for me is the well groomed main slope - it is always snow-sure in winter through the use of high tech snow making equipment. The access from Johannesburg is a breeze with a 5-6 hours drive door-to-door and it is a very convenient way of enjoying winter sports. It is also the perfect place for locals to learn skiing and snowboarding before spending big money on overseas trips. Surprise yourself!
