With a terrible thirst, we made for The Red Lion Tap where we have enjoyed many gorgeous pints in the past when visiting Market Drayton. Today was no exception, but I decided to try a Seasonal ale called Shropshire Hop. It was creamy, flowery, citrusy...More

We go often to The Red Lion, where they brew their own Joules beer from underground springs, and where the Sunday Carvery is delicious. There's a lovely atmosphere, especially in the wood panelled dining area, with huge fire- place, and hidden carved mice. A lot...More

Remember the old adverts, if Heineken did ... Well, that's my point. This is THE BEST PUB we have visited for a long time. It's the brewery as well, which helps, but that doesn't explain why the service, food, atmosphere, layout etc. are so good....More

We visited here while we were in Market Drayton ; not all Joules beers suit us but the pub is lovely and well worth a visit. Dog friendly, good access for disabled - food available.

Blown away by the wonderful service here and really friendly staff. Beer is brewed on site and green monkey lager is a must try! I visit all the time now just due to the great pub food and immaculately tidy surroundings. Dog friendly too which...More
