The pictures speak for themselves. We went there on an Austrian public holiday so there were a few people around but we were told that on other days one can almost have the lake to oneself.

Whilst it is quite a long drive from Ebensee is well worth taking the beautiful drive. Beautiful lake with clear waters is extremely picturesque and in the summer a delightful place to bathe or picnic around the many many spots that are available

Must visit you can have a dinner at one of the restaurants near by if you are staying in the area...2.5hours away from Vienna and 1.5 from Salzburg 15 min from Bad Ischl

Offensee is a very quiet and remote, very beautiful lake. Easy to stroll along and many things to discover for adults and kids. An easy walk, espcially with kids, elderly and great for dogs, too.
