It was snowing when i was there. The view of the sea cloud and blue sky was splendid. Please prepare yourself with hiking shoes as some hiking of stairs needed. It was super slippery when it is snowing but afraid not as there are plenty...More

I went there for a school trip with 21 other people and I think we took the longest (but most scenic) route up. The whole climb took about 2 and a half days and I nearly died from exhaustion because I am not very fit....More

We took the cable car up as it is a long way to the top. The views are spectacular - lucky for us that the clouds cleared. On a cloudy day that is all you will see. There are still many steps so wear comforatble...More

The temples and the giant golden Samantabhadra Bodhisattva on the top of the mountain were really fabulous, the scenery also breathtaking, the only thing that really bad was the environment, we can see litters everywhere.

Going to the top with the golden Buddha at Mt Emei is a fantastic experience every one should do. Unfortunately the domestic tourists somewhat ruined the moment for me with smoking, throwing litter and harrassing the cute monkeys on the slope up to the mountain....More

I've lived in China for about 6 years, and my recent trip to a few spots in Sichuan were among my first hiking trips in the country. Mt. Emei ended up being one of my favorite trips and among the worst I've ever had. Living...More

Hi Demi, Sorry I have no idea about the plank with a harness. I didn't see it when we were there but the weather on the day we went was dreadful and so we didn't hang around long. Enjoy your trip
