A visit to the Amarula Lapa shows the magic of turning Marula fruit into Amarula Cream. Enjoy a glass of Amarula Cream on crushed ice, whilst listening to the stories and folklore surrounding the Marula tree. In February and March, during the harvesting season, a visit to the production plant is included. Light meals and Amarula cocktails are available from the restaurant.

Very nice trip to learn about the production of Amarula and its journey from tree to bottle. Also great little restaurant that serve food that contains Amarula. The Lapa is not that child friendly and unfortunately we missed out on the tour of the processing plant as the season ended in Feb.

The most hospitable staff you ever likely to meet. We had a wonderful time touring the factory & finding out all about Marula's. Even getting to taste one. The menu is fantastic be sure to try an Amarula cocktail or the best milkshakes you'll ever taste. All the food has a Marula flavour to it that you won't get anywhere... More

We really liked the experience. The tour starts with a video intro which is very informative and you get the Amarula Cream and Gold to taste. Very friendly staff.

We visited the Home of Amarula during a long-weekend breakaway in 2016. Look around for the small elephant statue in the parking are - too cute! We were welcomed with Amarula on ice, then taken through to a room where the story of Amarula was told to us. Afterwards, we went a little crazy in the shop side, and then... More

While the actual liqueur is made in Cape Town, it was neat to learn more about our favourite, including the trees, fruits and how it's harvested. A fun way to spend a few hours - learning, eating and drinking (drinks and food are Amarula inspired) while en route to a safari.

Go visit and learn about the origine of the Amarula drink. After the very interesting information on the locally harvest fruits of the Marula tree and the drink made from it, you must have a very lovely lunch. My favourite is the bill tong pizza!

Really nice staff on hand, helpful and knowlegable, just feel the gorgeous location is not being utilised to its full potential...nice coffee shop, but no one there.
