Spent the day with some cuban friends at their house. It was our third time at their place. When you are about to enter the city of Cardenas, you will see a large crab. The people around the city are great. Great landmarks and the...More

This was my second visit to Cardenas and I'd love to go back. It is real Cuba without the masses from Havana. Horse drawn carriages, beautifully colored buildings, cool little shops and restaurants and bars to check out. It's really a great town.

Cardenas is the most dirty city we have seen in Cuba. All sights are floaded with garbage. We normally give positive reviews but this is the worst. You can stay here but only as a starting point for other trips in the area.

Cardenas was my first city experience in Cuba. If you have never lived in a socialist country you will be shocked. It has charm, but don`t have high expectation.

It was nice to see this city. Mode of transportation seems to be horse and carriage. It's worth going to see their museums and local restaurants. We will be back next trip.

Cárdenas is worthwhile city to visit with many beautiful Spanish colonial buildings. Most of the buildings are in need of repair, but some restoration has taken place. It is quite interesting to see that horse drawn carriages are a predominate mode of transportation as are...More

Movie set perfect, Cardenas is one of those places that has developed its own patina over time, however time will erase what is there now. Traffic consists of bicycles, horses and horse drawn carts and carriages, and pedestrians. Indedentially preserved buildings, narrow cobblestone streets, and...More
