Great Beer and food!
Jan 2020
We had the best time with Jeremy (Tap Room Manager). He is very knowledgeable about the beer and entire brewing process. Super cool place excellent beer. I recommend the following beers Born Slippy, Happy Pils, Hazy Daze, and Acid Queen. After the tasting we went upstairs for dinner. Great food and service. I highly recommend.

Non-existent Service
Jan 2020 • Couples
We went there for lunch. Only the outside balcony was full, the inside table were about 1/4 filled up. Not one staff greeted us or showed us to a table. We then sat and waited for 10 minutes. They stare you in the eyes as we sit there and just walk past us the whole time. We then physically stopped a staff member and ordered drinks. The drinks to another 15 minutes(for 2 beers). We then asked if we could move to the couch table which became available, our same waitress said yes. Half an hour later of which we never saw out waitress again, she completely ignores us and just walks around. I then got up and CALLED another waitress to the till itself in order to pay for the 2 drinks. I ran into the manager and told him about the bad service, all he could do was give a akward laugh and apologized then walked away. So yeah, I do not recommend ever going to the Woodstock Brewery unless you really have nothing else to do.

Great welcome & knowledgeable staff
Dec 2019 • Couples
Great choice of beers on tap, which you can try R10 each (circa. 50p!) There’s certainly something for all tastes, but if beer’s not your thing, then they have a full bar including cocktails! They do offer food too, but we didn’t eat. We had the Californicator (American IPA) and Mr Brownstone (Hazelnut brown ale) both of which were great!

Rude reception
Dec 2019 • Family
Tasting room... Leaves much to be desired. As a family we walked in while the person presenting a tasting did not even acknowledge us. He was busy (all over the show) with another couple however, chatting about other things not beer related 😜 While seated at the restaurant, we were told to move on to another table. No checking up on how we were doing while enjoying our orders. Poor service. The only good thing were the music.

A must visit in Cape Town (if you like good beer!)
Dec 2019 • Solo
I stopped in here randomly at the end of a work trip, just killing time before a flight. I didn’t know their beers but the staff could not have been more friendly or helpful to explain the different options (or the fellow customers for that matter, which led to a couple of extra beers being ordered!). The beer is excellent and the location is great for a browse of the Old Biscuit Mill followed by a restorative ale here. Can’t speak to the food but I’ll be back next time to try the restaurant.

Here in Cape Town we experience a booming craft-beer 🍻 revolution with many bars around the city stocking some of the country’s best craft beers that range from garage-set up brewery concoctions to full-on production line creations. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Woodstock Brewery is considered as one of the best craft beers in the Cape. It's situated in the heart ♥️ of a vibrant suburb sharing the same name, with trendy art galleries, organic restaurants mixed with a local laid back flair. 🤘The brewery gives visitors good insight into the brewing process and access to up to 10 different brews. 😱 Our purveyor of this golden nectar was super entertaining, so knowledgeable and passionate. Very persuasive into "forcing" us to taste so many beers. 😉😂 He even performed a magic trick pouring a filtered and unfiltered beer from the same bottle

Great Beer and Excellent Steak
Oct 2019
My 3 friends and I had a fabulous night out at the brewery last week Thursday - for the steak special - 220g grain fed Rump or Sirloin with your choice of side as well as a 360ml Woodstock Draught for only R100 per person and we were not disappointed. 2 of us tasted a couple of excellent beers. The food was absolutely delicious and our waiter was knowledgeable and very helpful. We enjoyed our evening very much and will definitely go back.

Best beer tasting!
Sep 2019 • Friends
My friends and I visited this brewery tonight, was honestly the best beer tasting we’ve ever done. Jeremy who hosted the tasting was so welcoming and made us feel right at home. The beers were amazing and we had so many laughs. I would go back a thousand times over. Thank you so much Jeremy!

Peel away life’s stress!!
Aug 2019 • Solo
WOODSTOCK BREWERY - WOODSTOCK, CAPETOWN. Craft brewery and restaurant. Good beer selection to suit all tastes with interesting flavor profiles. Very well priced tasting. My choice here, Happy Pills, Pot Belge and Mr. Brownstone. According to the tasting info “ Happy Pills is inspired by the elated feeling that comes with a well-deserved beer after work as well as the feeling that follows as the refreshing taste peels away life’s stress” 😁 #pilsner #pilsnerbeer #brownale #brownales #ipa #ale #witbier🍻 #witbier #southafricanbeer #southafricancraftbeer #southafricancraftbeers #southafricancraftbeerrocks #craftbeer #gallivantwithg #touristguide @woodstockbrewery

Nice Range of Beers
Apr 2019 • Friends
If you enjoy craft beers this brewery is a definite must try. The beers we tasted included a German Pilsner, Belgian Witbier, Lemon Session IPA, Amber Ale and IPA. I enjoyed all of the beers except the Lemon Session IPA as the taste was too "lemony" for me, but some of my friends really enjoyed it. You can do a tasting or you can just grab a draft and relax in their beergarden area which has more than enough space for small or larger groups. In the immediate area it can be difficult to find parking space, but there is free parking available in-front as well as next to the brewery. We were a bit rushed when we visited as we had an appointment to get too, but I will definitely plan a longer visit next time.
