One of the most colloquial towns in Colombia. The stone streets and old architecture makes it really charming. Lots of typical foods in local stores around.

Great colonial plaza, the center of Villa de Leyva. Great store surround the plaza. Young crowds gather at night to drink, dance and enjoy the music.

We never have seen a square with such nice vibe. Not too busy, lots to see, nice little coffee shops and restaurants, we like it very much. Don’t expect a lot of noise and cars driving everywhere. In the weekends it’s full of local people...More

A huge square plaza, with pretty much nothing to do but to sit, relax, eat or maybe drink while you stare at the beautiful architecture and uneven streets full of rocks. Just a romantic place to get away from the noise of the city.

The plaza mayor, in the center of town of course is surrounded by historic ecclesiastical, governmental, and commercial buildings. All of the plaza is cobblestoned, presumably mainly original. One warning: pushing a bay stroller or trying to use a wheelchair on the plaza doesn't work....More
