The Ardeche Gorge is a stunning place to visit and the best way to experience it is by doing a 2 day kayak trip starting at Vallon Pont d'Arc. I thought it was worth mentioning the company we booked through as they were very good....More

We drove along the gorge stopping off at several of the excellent viewing spots to take photographs. It being early June and outside school holidays it was an easy relaxing drive.

A beautiful place that can be walked or paddled. I'd recommend paddling a kayak down as there are some really good rapids to have a play on even for complete novices. I would highly recommend a guide as they look after you, keep you safe...More

The series of gorges made by the river Ardeche is locally known as the "European Grand Canyon". It forms a canyon over 30km long. Much of the canyon is only accessible by water, so canoeing and kayaking are very popular on the river.

Stopped for 5 minutes at one of the viewpoints and handbag stole from car. Should have been more careful considering all the broken car window glass around.

The Gorges de l'Ardeche is unique and beautiful. The contrast between the step mountain walls and the river is rather spectacular. We walked alongside the river which was a very nice experience.

Pretty impressive. The river and the greenery were a colorful contrast to the sharp, steep, pastel walls of the gorge above them. I liked the sounds of the water swirling and flowing, as well as the bird life around the area. The day we were...More

Wonderful - breathtaking it’s worth walking around and seeing the river and the way it’s carved it’s way through the rocks
