War memorial at Dras has been one of the real hotspots of Kargil war. Big Tricolor at the centre and several peaks in the background remind you of the war and victory.

Beautifully erected by Indian Army in the memory of all our Officers and Soldiers who laid their life during Kargil War. Very well maintained. Its no less than a religious place and every Indian must bow his / her head in respect of the martyrs.

Hi this memorial is right on the Srinagar Leh Highwyay just after Drass going towards Leh. There is no permit required to visit this memorial. Inner line Permits are only required for Nubra, Pangong etc that you can get... More
