Many ingots of lead and numerous amphorae as well as other pottery are on disply on the second floor and the first floor shows models of the ship and its hull. This is an extraordinary find which reveals much about life in Roman times.

There are some very rare items on display in a well set out museum. The only issue is that the boat isn't there - not even a replica. Nevertheless, worth a visit for some of the artefacts recovered.

A small but fascinating museum. Some of the articles on show are amazingly well preserved. Men's footwear from 1st century BC.

This small museum made the most of the discovery of a Roman commercial vessel that sank near Comacchio 100 BC. Well worth a visit to complete your stroll through Comacchio.

The ship is not accessible to visitors but it is a fine museum for the artifacts. The exhibits are well labeled.

The museum, just few meters from the famous Comacchio bridge is small but the contents are amazing. Thanks to the mud, all the vessels contents have been incredibbly well preserved, so it is possible to see shoes and other leather artifacts which are really super...More
