We dropped in for a pint after dinner and had a great time chatting with the bar maid and the local patrons while savoring the pint and the atmosphere of the oldest pub in the area. Such a pleasant time!

Lovely atmosphere in this pub. Always an interesting selection of cask ales on tap, and they also have a good range of cask ciders, which is something you rarely see.

Lovely, old fashioned pub with an enormous array of gins and pump ales and beers. Sara Jane has an encyclopaedic knowledge of the products she sells and an obvious passion for sharing that. Well worth a visit.

We were visiting relatives locally and visited this pub on Friday night, what a great find, tucked down a back street and full of locals but we didn't feel out of place, this pub has real character

A lovely little local with a great selection of beer and spirits. Pool table only charges 40p. The local clientele are friendly and sociable.

This is a lovely traditional pub that holds extra surprises. There is a good range of real ale and ciders. But also a huge range of gins that the land lady knows so much about. Also a cocktail menu and prosecco on tap. Friendly locals...More

Great pub. Old fashioned in a good way. The owner has encyclopaedic knowledge of gins and craft beers. Try as many as possible.

A very traditional pub, real ales, many draft ciders to choose. Do a monthly curry night, but must book in advance.

Yes and no, call up first. It depends on the breed and also if there’s something going on...I do remember taking a dog with us on one occasion.
