Opens a little before 0830 am, but be there a few minutes before if you want to be early, because 0840 will quadruple the amount of people there.

Buy a lift pass and avoid queues. The start of some lovely walks. In addition to the one towards Val Duron, try walking over to Passa Sella and have a ride on the Coffin Lift up to the rifugio on the Sassolunga. Great goulash!

Sorry we were there in the summer. There were however places for skis and skiing equipment at many of the rufigios. Some are open year round and at least one was set up more for skiing than hiking.
