This is a not insignificant basilica commanding the most amazing views over the Lot valley. You can see for miles in all directions. See also the grotto and the castle keep ruins built by the crusaders, Richard I I think but don't quote me.

At the top of a steep hill is this lovely church which is more beautiful and interesting from the outside than the inside. The view is fantastic and it is well worth going around the church to the caves/grotto and the viewing platform. There is...More

Penne is a lovely, quaint little town with lots of interesting, intermingling streets, all ready a for a good mooch. The architecture is fascinating. The church itself is peaceful and beautiful but you need to be fairly fit as you can't park close and the...More

There is a fair amount of parking and we parked near the bottom so we could walk to the top up the very quant, meandering streets. You can park nearer the top and walk across. The church is nice, with a new garden and looks...More

A really welcoming and interesting modern church, built by the local community in the first half of the 20th century. Has a lovely feel to it with great splashed of colour from the vivid stained glass windows - look for the cat and the ball...More

The church is located on the top of a high hill, reached by very narrow streets. We tried driving up there, but could not find anywhere to park. It is better to park elsewhere and then walk, even though the route is VERY steep. When...More

Situated on the top of a steep hill as is the case many times in France this beautiful church stands proud. It is not large but is just such a gentle place for a big name like a Notre dame
