The circular walk from El Cedro via the Lourdes church is well worth doing as the trees and views are excellent. Need reasonable walking gear to complete the descent into El Cedro again

Walked to the tiny church which is set into a clearing in the forest by a magical tree that spouts water from a branch. If I believed in sprites, wood nymphs and fairies this would be the place....

This is a magical place. It is a rain forest on high altitude excisting because of the mist that comes in from the Atlantic. Most of the time it is cold and misty. But on a clear day you have a fantastic view down to...More

We walked from Hermigua to El Cedro. Awesome landscape then changed to a dark mysterious forest before emerging at the bar at El Cedro. A thrilling hike

Take in the nature, calm down. Walk along and feel peace come into your heart. Sounds pathetic but if you are willing to forget about stress, noise and other things that bother you, go there. It will make you feel better for a while

We drove as far as we could and great parking in an area like a scouts camping place. We then walked/climbed through the forest. Not views but in amongst the trees it was great and then a walk downwards to the car :-)

We made a nice hiking but I expected more from the waterfall that was not so amazing. The landscape was pretty nice but nothing unbelievable

We found the laurisilva forests on Tenerife, La Palma and El Hierro to be as good or better than what we saw on this trail. It reminded us of many dense forest walks in our local woods (the Jura Mountains of France). There were some...More

The forested area of El Cidro is an amazing place. Really peaceful and atmospheric. However you must be prepared for all kinds of weather. We drove there one day and walked for a couple of hours and we needed warm clothes, waterproofs and we could...More

Walking through The Forest of Cedro is like going back in time. The plant and birdlife is extraordinary. Don't miss this experience!
