What a GREAT FABULOUS place to go to. A short taxi ride from Freetown. On approach to the beach there is a le 5000 per person community area fee. Though this is not always enforced, it could be either teenagers asking for the money or...More

LOVED the beach... stretches far, quiet, local shops selling awesome patchwork fabrics, bags, and statues. The food!!! At the beach bar, grilled Barracuda and Lobster fresh from the sea! Swimming in the ocean, chilled, can make you forget the rest of the world!!

Lake beach was the prettiest beach I have seen in Sierra Leone. There are shops, restaurants and hotels. All of which appeared nice enough for the area. Great place to spend an afternoon.

After all the hassle on Lumley Beach this place is a gem, close enough to base yourself here instead of Freetown and a lot cleaner, more relaxing and cheaper!
