Thanks to the personal efforts of the museum curator and private collector, Bozcaada has this museum which displays the long history of the island. I'm so glad we went there. It should be promoted more.

The building used to stand much taller, and was the consul's house. Nowadays it's a small museum delineating the history of the island. Helpful steward and descriptive sheets in English. Recommended

Small museum in a house crammed full of local items. The owner was there to explained the photos in the first room. Might need to be interested in such things to enjoy it. Did not spot any toilets. Small shop.

Very nice and lovable privately owned museum. Artifacts and documents gathered and displayed through donations and personal effort. The basement level offers objects from the near past of not only the island but also the country of Turkey. Worth the admission.

Yes it is an amateur museum, yes the exhibition is neither big nor artistic, but the museum has a soul and character. Impressive at the end.

We came to this museum in the quiet and pretty town of Bozcaada and decided to take a look. The owner, M. Hakan Gürüney, is obviously very passionate about the island's history and has collected a wonderful collection of artefacts ranging from the Ottoman period...More

Cute little museum in the heart of the town, run by an old man from Bozcaada. Very interesting and eye opening of the history of the island.
