This is a fabulous underground treat - it’s a long visit of 90 minutes and there is a lot of walking up and down steps so it is not for the unfit!

Having done the cave paintings at Lascaux, thought I’d had enough of caves but wow. This cave is amazing, would have been a little better if some of the commentary had been in English but we managed with the sheet. Well worth the visit

We chose this cave rather than the larger Aven Armand and were not disappointed. Good tour (ours was in French) from an overlook starting point that itself is spectacular over the Jonte.

We very much enjoyed our visit to Dargilan. The experience was great and the tour lovely. We were there with friends but the cave can be visited with children too.

Wonderful cave experience...about a 1km tour with a guide (in french - I got a sheet of paper with the basic tour and translation information that was very helpful). Beautifully lit with amazing underground natural structures and a few 'experiments' to add some humour to...More

We very much enjoyed our visit to Dargilan, which is quite different from Aven Armand, also visited on this long weekend out from our home in the Pyrenées-Orientales. Wonderful pink colors, beautiful formations, highly recommended. Presentation is far better than at Aven Armand, no "spectacularization",...More

Not that far from Meyrueis town (you are already used to the very winding roads if you reached this town) in the Gorge de Tarn. Certainly worth a visit as this is one of the best caves I have seen (guided visits only), and also...More

Very deep cave with very impresive large scale formations. A lot of steps down in the cave which you have climb up again so you need to be reasonably fit. Guide could not speak English but gave me a printed numbered guide in English which...More
