A must see in the area. Mind boggling cave in which the Notre Dame cathedral fits. Amazing stalagmites that have been building for 4 million years, among which the highest in the world with 25 meters.

This is as much of an interesting visit as it is beautiful. You can always pretty much guess how a cave, or an “aven” in this case, looks like but what they did with the lights and story telling is quite fascinating. The Aven Armand...More

Somewhat special because there is only one big open space, the ‘aven’, but it is really impressive. The kids loved it.

We went here on recommendations from our reps on the camp. It is a bit of a trek from the surrounding big towns on quite mountainous roads. But the caves were interesting. It’s more of one massive big cave with lots of stalagmites all light...More

Visited the caves as part of our coach tour of hidden France. Found them to be really interesting with some stunning stalegmites and stalegtite. Our guided tour of the caves was also very good. Plenty of opportunities to take photos. Well worth the visit.

We all loved it, starting with 7 y.o., then 15 y.o, and so on. A truly magic place! Wewere chancing by turning up at the last minute, but the staff was very kind and welcoming.

Well worth a visit. Easy access and safe pathway. Fantastic array of hundreds of stalactites and stalagmites. And at time of writing 12 EURO entrance which seemed great value for guided tour of about an hour.

The cave is breathtaking. We were provided with an English translation of the commentary, which was much appreciated. As others have said, there is a lot of use of lights. At times, they contributed to a sense of amazement. At others, we had to see...More
