Lovely ramble and if you time it right... we always manage bluebell time and the extra helping we have got in the last few years is ....cowslips - by the million. I have never seen fields of cowslips before - a wonderful sight.

This is a relatively easy walk considering how far up you go. The highlight really is the view at the top it's great for a picnic too

Warton Crag quarry car park was easy to find. Yes, the views are nice - but for the naturalist - breeding Peregrine Falcons; Pearl-bordered Fritillary butterflies; Early Purple orchids. All second week in May. Brilliant!
