I simply can't understand some of the reviews on here... I can only imagine that some folk have high opinions of themselves and expect to be treat like royalty. The service is friendly and tasters are offered...even multiple tasters for the small minority of people...More

Outrageously dear - selling beer by the third of a pint to cover up the cost of nearly £5.00 a pint as well as selling a single Pork Pie at £2.50 - this is Yorkshire we are in isnt it? - not central London! Rude...More

Sterile micro-pub of little atmosphere or character. Expensive beers - tonight overcharged by an amateur bar person who admitted her error but laughed it off, and then to irritate further, the pretentious clientle was joined by a peacenick attention-seeker sporting a white poppy! Could it...More

Utterly disgusted by the atmosphere in here. They let unruly teenagers run this joint. Overpriced beer, god awful bar staff and a scent that will last in your nostrils until you burn your own hair.

As a Yorkshire man living in exile I love coming home to Bradford and one of my favourite imbibing holes is The Cap & Collar. I can be here alone and within a few minutes get chatting to another Yorkshire Man, enjoying the wonderful ales...More

Great bar - especially if you are an ale drinker. Always plenty of selections and new beers available all the time. Great for a quiet drink - no worries about tv or music blaring. Often have events on in the evenings too, so it's worth...More

This is definitely the best place in Saltaire for a beer. There are four hand pulled ales and three keg lines that are continuously changing as well as a range of bottles and cans. For non-beer drinkers there is an extensive range of gins to...More

Fantastic little micropub, great choice of well kept beers, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Completely overrun with crying babies and insolent toddlers at the weekend, and even New Year’s Eve. Some afternoons the pub is like a crèche that sells beer. What a shame, as it...More

Small bar up a side street, and all the better for that. Intriguing range of beers from small producers. Will go again.

A great addition to the Shipley/Saltaire circuit. Although it is quite Spartan this is to be sought out if you're a fan of real ales. Highly recommended !

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but the very small number of poor reviews on here beggar belief. After reading them it is clear that they are off the mark with their myopic rants. I LOVE the Cap and Collar - friendly, great beer,...More

First visit despite working in Saltaire..Good selection of beers and friendly, knowledgeable staff..the barman even let our ladies use their glasses from Gin Festival down the road. Good mix of young 'uns and older drinkers...thoroughly enjoyable couple of hours
