Fascinating town built by Sir Titus Salt. A model employer but no pubs were included in the new town because he was against alcohol. The mill where his employees worked contains an exhibition by the artist David Hockney.

Great place to wander round, full of interest and admiration for the Sir Titus Salt's vision to give his workers decent houses, school, institute, church and lovely park by the river.
