The area around the mill, including canal, church, river, and housing is impressive, but inside the mill seems so disjointed it is difficult to know where things are until you come across them! Plenty of cafes/places for coffee and a room with a running video...More

I love this place. It sings of heritage and to see the mill being utilised for the present day is magnificent. It is wonderful on so many different levels, it's almost indescribable. I love going on my own and mooching around for a few hours....More

Massive bookshop...plan an hour if you read...and save up first. Set in an old mill with antiques dealers, Hockney exhibition and American style diner.

We thought that we would make a quick visit to Salts Mill before going on to watch our grandson play rugby - however we found it so interesting that we spent three hours looking around.
