We visited the Castle in July. It is one of the largest and most interesting castles I have visited. There is lots to see, easy parking, a small restaurant. Worth a visit.

I knew about this Castle when I checked into my hotel. They said I had a ticket for entry. What a great property. So imposing. I can't wait to revisit in detail during my next trip back to the area in July 2017

When you take the challenge of climbing up to the castle in the rain and find its about to close.... You try to be nice to the person in charge but he just chases you away.... You ask that "it's open all year right?" And...More

interesting exhibition of WW1 (in German and Italian). Very well restored castle. possibility for guided tours (we did not take the guided tour so no comments)

It is a nice hike up to the castle that watches over the town. You can drive up on the back side but even if you are not in good shape, you can probably make this short hike to see beautiful views of the valley...More

The castle conveys the importance of Taufers. It used to be that the nobles demanded a tax from people going from Italy to Austria. They had to pass by Sand in Taufers or take a detour. The castle has much of the original furniture as...More

It is a steep road up to the castle but its worthwile to make this little fitness excercise. The castle is very nice and the view is breathtaking.
