Forget fusty, jumbled museums! This is a lovely, spacious, light and airy museum on the main road of Acharavi, towards Roda. Absolute bargain at 3 euros entry price! Read the reviews and with rain looming we visited the museum. Staff welcomed us and were both friendly and informative. Anita talked about how the museum was set up and how donations continued to be added. Downstairs I loved - with information about past occupations...More

Visited the museum as part of a tour to Mount Panto kraft or with Valerie Travel based in Siar. EX Ellen place to visit to see theveryone real Greek culture and way of life. How they lived,loved and entertained themselves in their community.

Well worth a visit to learn a bit about the history of the island. The lady that took us on our tour was very friendly and helpful and it’s only €3 for entry 👍🏼

We visited the museum because the weather was vile. We found however that it was interesting and informative, not too big, and the lady who pointed out exhibits and showed us around was not only knowledgeable but extremely friendly! I would recommend a trip there...More

Spent an hour or so here and it was far more interesting than I expected. The guide was very helpful and so welcoming. Well worth a visit!

We loved this museum but it would have been less interesting had we visited without a Greek tour guide as there was no information in English whatsoever.
