We had a rare opportunity to have a dinner in the chateau for our group that was visiting Normandy. The weather cooperated and the food was magnificent. A beautiful chateau, perhaps not like in the Loire valley but nonetheless beautiful with a colorful past and...More

I wanted to see a French Chateau and this ticked the box. Lovely gift shop, we opted for the tour and a visit to the balloon museum. The house tour during our visit was held in French and we were given an English guide which...More

This is a beautiful chateau that has been restored to great splendor by the Forbes family under the leadership of Christopher Forbes. The balloon museum has lots of history and memorabilia related to ballooning and Malcolm Forbes. The view from the belfry is magnificent.

The chatteau is nice however even going on tour you only see a few rooms on the inside, would have liked to explore all. The grounds are well kept and staff are friendly

The only way to really see things is to take the guided tour. I got there a couple minutes after the last guided tour started and walked the grounds. It is certainly nice, but with no signage you don’t really know what you’re seeing.

A beautiful little castle with a grand driveway and lovely French garden. I was a little disappointed with the grounds at the back since they were just fields and trees, but the private tour of the chateau made up for it. Luckily since there were...More

Website states that the chateau was open from 10.45 until 6pm. This is totally inaccurate. You can only have access if you take a guided tour (not mentioned). These tours take place only 2-3 times a-day. All very misleading.

The Chateau is beautifully maintained, the gardens and grounds perfect and the small number of staff very hard working. It is true that changes to the décor were made under the influence of Forbes the American Billionaire and this has been mentioned by other reviewers,...More
