We love Kapula and think that you will too. The warehouse shop is full of stunning ceramics and candles, hand painted in the locality. We bought most of our family's birthday and Christmas presents here. This is a must-visit place if you're travelling in the Western Cape. Highly recommended.

If you’re in the area or just passing through you must stop here. Plenty of choice if shopping for a gift or to brighten your home.
Not hassled by staff, worth a stop.

Just loved my visit to this outlet - their distinctive products are beautifully displayed! The variety of different candles and pottery on offer makes it so difficult to choose as they are all so desirable.
The location of this shop is a bit off the beaten track and I first went to the workshop closer to town, but it was easy enough to follow the directions to the retail outlet near the silos.
Kapula crafted merchandise make the perfect gift!

We might sound funny but we did not really understand the meaning and importance of different prints. There was no one to help or explain.

This gallery is definitely a sight for sore eyes and a delight for the senses. The most beautifull candles, plates, cups, clothing, bags and other african art are on display and for sale, when we visited they had two discount tables available on the day, hence i could afford some items :-)

If you love beautiful candles, this is a must when you are in and around Bredasdorp. Original designs, a variety of shapes and sizes and gorgeous pottery on offer as well. I don't find them overpriced at all. They often have a bargain table where you can buy a packet of mixed candles at a very reasonable price.

I have been visiting Kapula candles for years now and I always remember my first visit when I was overwhelmed by the size and scale of this operation. In recent years they have turned their attemtion to the production of ceramics and now offer a huge collection of beautifully crafted functional ware as well as their iconic candles/accessories.
My only comment would be that they don’t sell their products on line and to overseas buyers like me. However, there are now many outlets across South Africa where you can purchase their products.
To give you a little respite during your visit there is a lovely little garden and coffee shop in the warehouse.
If you are a candle or ceramics afficionado then allow yourself a good hour or so to browse the selection, and certainly for the non resident buyer, their products offer very good value for money and great gifts, whilst supporting this local business.
