I really loved walking around Buttermere. The footpaths are well marked and the scenery is just stunning. We saw wild swimmers and some canoes. Lots of places to stop and picnic, or just to sit and take in the beauty of nature.

Although this lake was a 1,5 hours drive, from where we are staying, we were very glad we did go ahead and do so. Because we loved it! Such a great walk around the lake. With some sun to accompany us, it was just perfect.
