Although St Ives is a lovely place to walk with family and dogs I just wanted to highlight the fact that one of the pathways that runs through the estate is the Calder Aire Link which actually crosses Keighley Road. Where the pathway crosses the...More

St Ives is a wooded estate, with golf course, stables, and lovely woodland walks. After a gentle climb you come to Druids altar, or an easy walk past the lake brings you to Lady Blantyre's seat. There is a lovely café, and excellent children's playground.

The play area here is amazing. So much for this kids to do and keep them entertained. We spent 2 hours in the play area and then piped to the cafe. The cafe is overpriced and the staff were very rude. I ordered our drinks...More

Go beyond the cafe towards the woodland, and the lake is on the right. There are lots of ducks and geese. There is a wide flat path along the side of the lake, easy for a toddler.

There is a bridle path that extends round the edge of the estate and others besides. Parking is available at various spots where your horse box could be parked. I am not aware of any restrictions on horses.

There is a 662 from Bradford or Keighley and you can walk up to st Ives via alter lane . It is a steep hill but worth the view.
