Beautiful place to visit but the monastry is so lovely. the nuns are really friendly and have a small shop there where they sell lots of their homemade products.

Fantastisk history and interesting stores. However they need to work ön the cleanliness. Plastic and garbage all over the place. It takes away the experience.

Although perhaps not as visually outstanding as its sister "eyes of Venice" castle at Methoni, the castle at Koroni is still worth a visit. It is a short uphill walk through the busy town to its entrance and within its walls is a convent where...More

After a short walk up the hill through the town, you arrive at the gate of the castle. From there, you have a great view of Koroni. The town itself is beautiful, and spending time in the ruins of the castle, and the nearby monastery...More

It makes a change to visit somewhere free of charge, plenty of fine views of the surrounding area, scaffolded barriers on exposed areas, small children should be not left unattended as there are some unsafe parts, there are information boards telling about the castles history.

Nice views from the top to Zaga beach and Messinian sea. Inside some traditional houses, church and a Monastery.

A brilliant place. A headland fortified by the Venetians with a monastery or convent inside, with a little Byzantine chapel. Wonderful views, no opening times or entrance charge. The only negative was a poor thin donkey tethered by the ankle looking decidedly unhappy.
