We've visited the Venetian ruins at Methoni castle, and Pylos castle as well. However Koroni castle beats both of them. There is so much more to see, especially the old nunnery. It's worth allocating a few hours to walk around the massive site. Really interesting...More

We were short of time but still managed to walk up and enjoy the views, see how a few still live inside the city walls and visit the monastery, so glad we did

We climbed up before the heat of the day. Great castle and monastery with wonderful views. Interesting to see how some families still live within the old fortifications

Fantastisk history and interesting stores. However they need to work ön the cleanliness. Plastic and garbage all over the place. It takes away the experience.

Although perhaps not as visually outstanding as its sister "eyes of Venice" castle at Methoni, the castle at Koroni is still worth a visit. It is a short uphill walk through the busy town to its entrance and within its walls is a convent where...More

After a short walk up the hill through the town, you arrive at the gate of the castle. From there, you have a great view of Koroni. The town itself is beautiful, and spending time in the ruins of the castle, and the nearby monastery...More

The castle of Koroni is one of the only castles that is still habitable. It's worth it if you like walking and you should take a bottle of water along. You will see the houses of local people inside of it as well as the...More
