There is an open theatre as well in the castle that very often hosts shows during afternoon. Magnificent opportunity if you can combine both!

Once inside it is interesting, but not too much remains of the original castle. Views are great of Kalamata and the Nedontas river with the new highway bridge. In a very nice part of town for walking around Nice walkable streets and small shops.
