The Museum open from Monday to Friday from 9AM to 12PM then 3:30PM until 6PM Saturday and Sunday 9AM - 12PM. Entrance fee 2 Soles for Adults and 1 Sol for Children but no tickets were given. Old pictures, replicas of letters, furnitures, brought us back to the past for awhile, to know more about Miguel Grau, his life and his family. All explainations are in Spanish, no guide offered.

The house-museum is a great place to learn more about Peruvian history. Grau´s name is everywhere in this country, and this is a convenient place to learn why. I dropped in and only spent about a half hour, but for the inexpensive price (3 soles) it was worth it, given that I had some time to kill in the city.

An interesting place to visit for those who want to know more of the recent history of Peru.
There is a very fine contemporary bronze statue of Admiral Grau in the garden.

I had to give this a bad review because when we arrived within the opening times advertised, they wouldn’t let us in. They told us that the times had changed since the flood of last year! This was very disappointing because it was our only opportunity to visit the place before having to leave Piura.

The man in the entrance was cold, did not smile, just said "2 soles". There was no person who coukd explain me what this museo is and who was this person. I liked the museo but I was expected somebody who will let me a little information.

Buiding was nice. Nice furniture and tableware from that time. In this city Grau is everywhere. Do not forget to visit this place.

I took a tour of Piura and this was a site on the city tour. Interesting from a historical stand point. Piura was a major point for consolidating Spanish Conquest goods to Spain. Admiral Grau was a historic figure in Piura and Peru

An interesting museum dedicated to the historical figure Admiral Grau. If you have time and are walking around the downtown square you might consider a visit. Not outstanding but interesting from a historical stand point.
