We tried to follow this trail from both ends. There is no signage from the Profitis Ilias end and the Nature Trail signs at the Konnos Bay end rapidly vanish to be replaced by signs warning you of shooting in adjacent areas. We had a...More

You like walking - do not miss this one. I personally enjoy it in winter time - walking my dogs. But if you like walking/hiking this is a 'must do'....but skip the hot summer month.

Protaras is mainly to chill at the beaches and eat, not many historical places to visit. So an odd church on a top of a heel it is a pretty good place to visit.. I would say try to go up there with your trainers...More

We went for a walk and ended up here...We could see that a lot of people came here to remember people they lost - pictures and small letters hang from trees and bushes. Also people hang ribbons for good luck. As we understood, this place...More

We were staying in Protarus, and from there it’s a good walk to Profitis Elias, but it’s so worth it. The climb up to the chapel is a little dodgy underfoot, and passing people could be a little awkward. You need patience and a smile...More

Profitis Elias Chapel is beautiful, views are spectacular, but the first sign of nature trail is after 2kms from the start. And there are garbage and dumps in the beginning, which spoils all good impression from the chapel views. In the middle of the trail...More

This was the 1st time I have walked up to the church. Make sure you were appropriate footware. Steps are steep. Take your time to enjoy the views. Cafe was closed when we got to top.

A relatively short (appx 60 minute of walking) but wonderfull trail to follow that will lead you to the "hidden coast" of Konnos. You can enjoy the meditteranean vagetation by walking to a relatively unspoiled environment, just next to Protaras. I highly recomment Spring as...More

Did it on a warm summer afternoon. Get refreshed at the kiosk at Profitis Elias Church after taking some breathtaking views of the landscape. Be sure to have packed a good reserve of water and start your walk (flipflops are not advisable, even though I...More

The best way is to go by bus and get off near the cafe and information centre. There are three routes and different distances.

Allow 1 hour each way for the shortest walk. 3 to 4 hours in total for the main walk.
