It was a nice small information centre cum museum.Tells a lot beautifully about the village life of local swiss people,especially Appenzell people who are making swiss cheese through generations.It was nice to see.

Great rainy day activity, much info on the region's history and customs. Tourist info. located here as well will heklp yu plan activities in this great region.

It may seem like a small museum but its a good layout with multiple levels offering very interesting exhibits and history on Appenzell.

A bit touristy, but heck, I was one! Bought tons of cheese and learned about the cheese-making process ad the region. In and out in 15 minutes.

If you have a Swiss Rail Pass you can get in for free and it will be worth a brief visit. Most Swiss museums are entertaining and I go to as many as I can. The little ones are perfect for an hour or so...More
