Just returned from a wonderful week of touring the Highlands on horseback. Breathtaking scenery, perfect mounts and lovely guides (Rosie and Sheila). They even managed to arrange a rainbow to remind us of what we were leaving behind after the last gallop of the trip. Highly recommend; don't miss this one.

Great hour of riding, lovely ponies and lovely lady in charge.
We're almost beginners as regards ability, but this was no problem, we were up and away, safely negotiated Tomintoul, roads (not busy at all), fields and woods, saw lots of wildlife including red squirrels. Beautiful place, well worth a visit. Rosie and company were very welcoming and knowledgeable, had equipment including footwear and helmets for all sizes of visitors. Can't think of a single negative thing to say about this lovely afternoon in Tomintoul!

I have been to Tomintoul in the end of May 2016 and it was just stunning!! Rosie really cares for her horses and knows them really good - in the beginning she told us about the special character traits of every horse and always in a really loving tone. I rode several of their horses and they are all very sensitive, calm and easy to ride, in a good muscular state and with fitting saddles. Rosie is a very caring and knowing guide and showed us a lot about the surroundings. The trails took place in a really beautiful landscape for riding, very varying so the adventures included crossing rivers, climbing steep hills, going quite downhill and also fast canters. I was really sad to leave and would love to come back once again - I can only recommend Rosie's riding centre!!

Visited late june-early july for five days of fabulous riding. Loved the setting, was so impressed with how friendly and helpful everyone was. The Highland Ponies were impressive -- strong, able and knew the terrain. Got everything I wanted and more! Great scenery and companions, super horses, trots-canter-gallops, fascinating local history and agriculture. Would do this again!

My 4 year old had a lovely stroll around the village on the gentle Molly. The folks working here and the horses are just brilliant, calm and kind. Thank you. I would recommend this experience to anyone wanting to experience the beautiful area on horesback.

The woman who runs the riding centre and guides the tours was incredibly kind, knowledgable, and fun. I cant sing her praises enough. The horses were sweet, well-trained, and gorgeous. We rode on beautiful trails, up and down mountain paths, through fields of sheep, forests, and streams. Definitely would recommend.

We wanted to go on a highland trek and see some of the Cairngorms. But we only had half a day. I got in contact with Rosie and she scheduled us in and gave us a wonderful 3 hour trek. As beginners she didn't talk down to us and made us feel very comfortable. We had a wonderful ride with Inch and Shadow. And we got to do some trotting and cantering too. She does a fantastic job running her ranch and operation all by herself. We had lots of good conversation and saw some wildlife too. We experienced a good variety of landscape too. It was just awesome. We would absolutely recommend it.

Hello! I have sent two emails of enquiry recently, and I just want to be sure you have received them. We (my adult daughter and I) are looking to either do the 6-day holiday, or some day-long hacks between June 12-18. Please let me know whether or not my email attempts were successful! Thank you!
