A great family oriented ski area. The mountain was massive, high speed lifts all over multiple mountains to ski. Highly recommended. Also a great mid day lounge with excellent food at the top of the mountain.

Good skiing and reasonable prices. Groomed pistes for all abilities, although not many black runs, mainly red and blues. Great food. Other activities such us sledging, cross country skiing etc available.

I love this area, its not as big as Schladming or similar, but has enough kilometers of slopes and lifts to ski all day in differant terrain. We lived on Sonnenalm at Markus and Heidi Wenko, their family cottage with restaurant. Tasty food, good Schnaps...More

Went with family and boyfriend for a skiing holiday. Gosau was a gem - very laidback and quaint village with small towns accessible by car. The Dachstein West is a huge ski area however, we were unfortunate that there was no snow at all throughout...More
