About
Built by the architech Lluis Domenech i Montaner, Casa Navas is one of the best examples of European Art Nouveau. The house was built between 1902 and 1908, and is located in the very centre of the city of Reus. Casa Navas was a project for the marriage of merchants Joaquim Navas and Josepa Blasco. It was a building that housed their new dwelling and their clothing business. It showed the Mercadal square an imposing facade of stone with a tower located in the corner, now lost to the Spanish Civil War. Casa Navas is open every day for visits. The tickets are for sale in the official website, in Casa Navas, and in Reus Tourism Office.

Reus and European treasure

Culture, History and ART! For the most amazing and unforgettable experience ask for Benjamin. This tour gives personal insight to the beginnings of modernism, by the hand of one of Gaudi’s pupils. An architectural and historic marvel, Casa Navas is one of the most beautiful structures my eyes have ever seen. Combining nature’s art and inspiration with human creativity, this house is a must visit when in Reus, Spain. I was amazed and impressed by the imaculate preservation of the house, rich with colors, mosaics, woodwork and history.

ASK FOR BENJAMIN! Best tour guide I’ve had; very enthusiast, passionate and inspired by his work. Also did an amazing job explaining everything in more than one language. MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE!

I never write reviews, I’m too lazy, but I have to review Casa Navas. Exceptional is the only word I can think of to describe the tour. Not only the house is truly amazing but the tour guide did a great great job in teaching the history behind it (Benjamin btw; his job was “chef’s kiss”). You HAVE to go to Reus and Casa Navas.

Wonderful! Excellent! Total recommendation!

Spectacular! Definitely a must if you are interested in Modernism. The tour guide was excellent in their explanations and completely enthusiastic about the history of house's inhabitants as well as the structure itself. I was also impressed by the preservation of the house and it's original furniture. I thoroughly recommend taking the tour of the Casa Navas and following the Modernism tour in Rous, even if it's a bit out of your way!

Amazing place, definitely worth a visit!! The house and tour were both so interesting and the tour guide was so nice. Also, he did a great job of explaining everything in English. If you're near or in Reus definitely go see the house and take a tour!!

Magical!

Coming from the U.K. we have a plethora of beautiful homes and palaces - for interiors this takes the prize. Simply stunning if very indulgent - the pink fireplace and bathroom were our personal favourites. Really like stepping back in time and as if the owners had just popped out for a walk. So unspoilt, so ornate, yet a family home. Our guide, Pilar, did a great job of running a tour in Spanish and English - a good way To practice Spanish too to see how much you pick up before the English version. Just sad the owner didn’t live to enjoy, just his widow, but nice to see in the heirs it found someone to love it. Look forward to seeing the external tower and coronet renovations. Remember to look out for the moth mosaic as you enter ! Yes 10/11 euros not cheap and you can only take photos on entry- but creating priceless memories to us well worthwhile and nice not to see through a phone lease. Don’t miss if you visit Reus- so lucky that it has recently opened to the public . Hopefully something sympathetic will be done with the original linen store that is now empty. Maybe a cloth/linen themed cafe? Brilliant building outside and in.

BEAUTIFUL HOUSE.

A guided tour of this gem yielded up all kinds of surprises. There were many pieces of original furniture in the rooms. The tour guide was thorough and professional with an excellent command of English. Well worth a visit- just a pity that photographs are not allowed.

Absolutely excellent

I would strongly recommend that anyone visiting Reus with an interest in architecture should visit this building. You need to book in advance but maybe just a day before. Our guide Anna was very informative and didn't mind answering lots of questions. The only disappointment was that we couldn't take more photos.

UNIQUE ART NOUVEAU BUILDING. GREAT TOUR. THANKYOU PILAR!

Wow! What a beautiful building. Opened recently to the public. The arquitect Domenech i Montaner, teacher and competitor of Antoni Gaudí designed it. Very ornated, authentic and unique. Just next to Gaudí Exhibition and accross the square a great restaurant: Antiga Casa Coder.

The guide, Pilar, was very good and help us "travelling to the past".

A must if you visit Reus, home town of Antoni Gaudí.
