This old church, damaged during the big war, sits proudly above the village. It has been restored. We were told it was quite a hike to make a visit,so we were satisfied with seeing it from afar. Others on our cruise ship raved about it. If...More

We went for a walk around the town during our stop along the Rhine. The walk through the town and up the hill to the Munster was great. The church is lovely and the grounds are a good spot to check out the views. They...More

Quaint church with great view of the town and just keep climbing till you reach it. Inside was so peaceful, unlike some of the churches we visited, there were only a few people inside. The murals are stunning but faded, it wasn't till I read...More

Great views from the terrace around the Munster. Well worth a look across to the Black Forest hills or to France. The Munster was heavily bombed in WW2 and rebuilt as near as possible to how it had been. Very lovely rood screen inside. Also...More

It's a relatively steep trek from the river up to the cathedral and its plaza, but well worth it for the history at the top as well as the views of the countryside.

Took a long hard walk to get to the catherdal, but worth it. The views along the way of breisach were wonderful. That alone was worth the walk. The catherdal reflects both the Romanesque and Gothic architectural styles. A must see in breisach.

Could see the minster from the ship so (after mooring) we walked in to the town and found the Tor and cobbled street leading upwards. It was a bit of a climb but well worth it. The Minster is impressive outside and inside - the...More

This church is beautiful, free, and well worth the short steep climb. Have a good memory, because photos inside are not allowed. Since there are not a lot of sites to visit in Breisach, be sure to add this to your list.
