Laki Tours takes you on an ocean adventure in four different trips. Puffins galore can be spotted from the protected Melrakkaey island where thousands of other birds also nest. Sea-angling is the perfect family outing and gets even more exciting when you get to keep your catch. From Olafsvik, the Whale tour gives excellent whale watching in deep waters at the foot of the majestic Snaefellsjokull Glacier. Winter brings the orcas, dolphins and white-tailed eagles. We take you to them on what is by now, our most popular tour. "We're living it!"

We took two tours: the three-hour whale-watching tour and the shorter puffin tour. Both were spectacular and unforgettable! While whale-watching we saw several species: six Sperm Whales, one Humpback, one Minky Whale, and a pod of three Killer Whales (orca), which came very close to...More

We were lucky to see 7 whales on our tour and many puffins! It was so cool. The guide was so helpful and we learned a lot about whales. They provide a warm suit but be warned it is extremely cold out on the water....More

We had the best tour seeing four species of whales. Our english speaking guide, was very nice and knew a lot about all of the whales. We were only 10 persons on the boat. I will give them my best recomendations.

We went whale watching in Reykjavik earlier on our holiday but I was disappointed to be honest ... not only did we not see much but there were 4 boats “chasing” the same whales. This tour was very different - much smaller boat fewer participants...More

Fabulous! We were lucky enough to have a beautiful sunny day and calm sea conditions. Had five sightings of sperm whales, three of which were from a close but safe distance and with great visibilty. We watched them resting on the surface, blowing several times...More

A huge thank you to Judith and Làki Tours for the release of Whale Watching. We were few on the boat and the captain was very respectful of cetaceans. We had the chance to see many whales and dolphins. The price of this outing is...More

Definitely worth the price! Our luck was good with three humpbacks that were cooperating. The group was small, the fjord is sheltered and the trip distance was relatively short. Our guide Judith is a natural and really knowledgable.

My son and I took the 90 minute Puffin tour out of Grundarfjörður harbor. The guide was very helpful and the captain got us within about 50 feet of the puffins on the island. It was plenty of puffins to satisfy us! And pricing was...More

This whale watching tour is an undiscovered gem. Laki tours is the only tour operator currently exploring the fjord from Hólmavík on the east side entrance to the West Fjords. We saw a beautiful humpback whale which breached directly in front of the boat along...More

We went on a whale watching tour on Sunday, July 8th. It was a small group, so we had a lot of room on deck to get a look at the two humpbacks we spotted and saw fairly up close. The fjord is protected, so...More

I rented a car. It is quite a long distance to take a cab or Uber. Trains they don’t have in Iceland and buses I don’t know.
