This was the only place in Armenia which didn´t touch me at all. Perhaps because the main church was covered by scaffolding and I din´t feel any genius loci at this location. For me disappointment (but balanced by many other much more beutiful church places...More

Take the tour, take time to learn about its history. We were very lucky with our guide and she showed us definitely much more than what we could have seen by ourselves. Full of noisy tourists, clear rules and boundaries should be implemented.
