Castelfranco is a delightful little town and well worth exploring and this must be the jewel in the crown - a gorgeous 18th century theatre! The street facade doesn't give much away and you could walk right past it as there are only a couple of small posters on display - unfortunately, nothing on during the time I was there! The pleasant lady at the box office took my payment (€3) and pointed me in the right direction and I had a leisurely wander around the stalls and boxes, admiring the design and decor. The theatre appeared to be well cared for and was in excellent condition and I would have liked to learn more about its history but unfortunately, there was no visitor information. A must see if you are in the town!

This was a wonderful surprise. The ticket vendor who was also our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. And it is a beautiful active theatre which the local school uses and has fantastic acoustics. Cool. !!

The Accademico is a really small theatre build in the age of Enlightenment. It was first used to host scientific and philosophical debates (you can see the traces of windows on its walls, very rare in a theatre!) and them transformed for theatre and music. Acoustic is great and the feeling of sitting there is one of peace and relaxation.

Outstanding masterpiece of art, in this small but beautiful theatre. I have been there multiple times for music show, theatrical representation since the sound is perfect. Of course, it is a must see if you are in Castelfranco Veneto.
