I was a little disappointed that the castle wasn't open due to earthquake damage. But it's still pretty impressive just to walk or cycle around it. I did both on different days. It's not as if you could miss the castle sitting as it does...More

The castle sits directly next to the harbour and whilst it was closed during our visit, it was a lovely walk around the outside structure.

Was disappointed that the castle was shut and we only found out when we visited the archeological museum and was informed that it could be shut for at least 5 years for repairs. No notices were posted on the castle door so you still had...More

You can expect a lot when you are arriving but it is disappointing once you are inside. They don't really care of it, being the grass without cut and the rest of the sculptures or columns in any how on the floor.

Kos council has cleared debris in Kos town where major damage occurred an has barriers sound anything deemed to be a risk. Feels perfectly safe as they have shut off any attraction they believe needs restoration.

The castle is still closed and we were told yesterday it could be some time before it will be open again. Also it is not possible at present due to damage of the quay around the castle to walk around the complete outer wall. More
