    Kos - beautiful holiday
Amazing costaline spot. Shades sea colours and beautiful beach everywhere filled of facilities. Snorkeling, windsurfing or enjoy chill on sunbathing. Looking sunset while eat in a Greek restaurant while you can heard the waves crashing on the seashore. Charming beach is therma, a paradise spot where you can laid back in warm water.

Beware of exchange office on the harbour
Had a lovely day trip to Kos Town, it is a very pretty place to visit and the people are lovely, however our trip was spoilt when we went to change some money. There is a little place on the harbour front that sells ferry tickets and also changes money, it is next door to the tax office. The man did change our money but didn't give us the going rate, he basically gave us €100 for £100 and told us that was what we were getting when we questioned it, but by then we had already handed our money over. Very rude man and obviously making a killing on every tourist going in there to change money.

Beautiful Kos town with harbour and castle
We stayed 3km away and short bus ride cost 2 euro got us into town. We passed the new marina and got to the castle. Beautiful and scenic. Short walk to the old harbour where the life is. Plenty different boats and plenty shops bars and restaurants. A bit touristy but great atmosphere. Plenty of food choices at sensible prices. At night the place lights up. We visited in off season and it was great. Think it may be very busy and chaotic in peak. Fully recommend a visit. Plenty shops in and around the bay. Don’t forget to haggle for all goods.

    Beautiful
Went to Kos Town as it was cloudy. What a lovely place lots of restaurants and boutique shops to choose from very pretty in the old town part with the Greek church and pretty flowers. The only downside is Kos Town needs more taxis it is only May and it was a 40 minute wait for a cab back to our resort. Otherwise glad we went for the day.

Very very busy and crowded, food was dearer than our resort but very nice all the restaurants are family friendly . Do not go into the swedish bar ,one of the first cafe bars you come to if you park by pizza con they are extremely slow with service and a smile goes a long way , we ordered food explaining that we only had an hour before our transfer back to our hotel paid but never got the food ,refused to refund our money because the chef had already started to prepare although this was an hour later and it was not that busy ,ruined a good day out unfortunately

The harbour is beautiful as is the old town. Then you go down any other street and are met with over grown weeds, graffiti and sick cats. We found the people in the hotel to be friendly but a lot of locals were rude, pushing and shoving whenever there were queues and just generally not very welcoming. Did not feel safe walking round at night. We visited turkey 2 days out of our holiday just to get away. Can do all the sights of Kos in a day or 2 and thats if you can actually see them over the weeds. Around the harbour there were lots of people driving round and round with loud music and shouting out of their cars. The cats all looked ill, complete opposite to Turkey where the animals were healthy and over fed if anything! Would not return and would not recommend unless maybe for a day trip. Also it is very expensive in Kos town.

If you're in Kos then you should definitely visit Kos town. There is lots to see and do as well as so many places to eat or have drinks. There's history and cute photo opportunities plus loads of shops to treat yourself and get your souvenirs.
